The idea is nice, although it is very clear that the guys behind it are trying to imitate what is already existing in Europe and the States. The difference is our culture here that is still not ready to trust anyone coming saying i am m3allem ... sometime we know the m3allem personally and we find out his work is nothing but shit !
Maybe the only way this idea can succeed in lebanon is though being honest and not to lie ... cause if your brother is a m3allem and you need him to fix something for you he would lie and not come on time ...

I doubt that it will be anything but a failure. Many phones sold in the U.S. are geared to FB users and they are not selling well at all.

Caleb, if Buffy is done, I think it would be too risky for Facebook to force FB only on their phone (at least in the beginning) but maybe most of the focus will be on integrating more apps around it and pushing users to spend more time on FB. Your comment reminded me of a step FB did when they acquired Snaptu (an app that mimics iphone icons) and removed Twitter and Linkedin from it http://www.snaptu.com/

Honestly I think the Facebook phone is going to be a failure. Who wants a phone that connects only to Facebook people use multiple types of social media. Plus we have seen this before with the MSFT Kin and that was a horrible failure
